Sarah Lythgoe
Occupational Therapist

Sarah Lythgoe is a highly experienced Specialist Occupational Therapist whose career
has spanned mental health, paediatrics and clinical leadership. With a wealth of
knowledge and a compassionate, person-centred approach, she brings valuable
expertise to The Wellbeing Den and the wider AMOTivate team.

Over 20 years ago, while working as an NHS Clinical Lead, Sarah recruited Amanda
(“Mandy”) into paediatric Occupational Therapy, beginning a professional relationship
that has continued ever since. Years later, when Mandy became Clinical Lead within
Haringey, they worked together once again, developing services and supporting
children, families and education settings through collaborative Occupational Therapy
practice.

Sarah has remained an integral part of Mandy’s journey, providing both clinical
expertise and unwavering professional support throughout the development of
AMOTivate Ltd. She continues to hold an active part time clinical caseload through the
consultancy while also offering invaluable mentoring, supervision, service development
advice and peer support, helping to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-
informed Occupational Therapy services.

Before specialising in paediatrics, Sarah worked extensively within adult mental health
services in both the United Kingdom and Germany. This experience has provided her
with a holistic understanding of wellbeing across the lifespan and continues to influence her compassionate, strengths-based approach to supporting children, young people and their families.

Her areas of expertise include:

  • Specialist paediatric Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention.

  • Supporting children and young people to participate successfully in everyday activities across home, school and the community.

  • Clinical leadership, supervision and service development.

  • Collaborative multidisciplinary working with families, education staff and healthcare professionals.

  • Applying a holistic, occupation-focused approach that promotes health, wellbeing
    and meaningful participation.

Outside of her clinical work, Sarah has a passion for organic gardening and believes strongly in the positive impact that nature has on physical health, emotional wellbeing

and community connection. Together with her husband, she maintains an allotment in

North London, where they enjoy growing organic produce and actively participating in

their local community. She values the therapeutic benefits of spending time outdoors

and recognises the important role that meaningful occupations, connection with nature and community participation play in supporting overall health and wellbeing.

At The Wellbeing Den, Sarah brings not only decades of clinical expertise but also

kindness, wisdom and a genuine belief in empowering individuals and families. Her collaborative approach and commitment to holistic care make her a valued member of

our multidisciplinary team.
